For five years now I’ve been writing the AutomicBlog. During that time it has developed into an important and reliable resource for all users of Automic. However, over the years, the blog has also collected some dust. And I also no longer like a few other things.
- AutomicBlog was purely a blog. Therefore, it was cumbersome to inform you about other services I offer that may be of interest to you.
- Many Automic users know my blog – but not me. I think it’s time to change that.
- Have you ever tried to read the AutomicBlog on a smartphone? From now on it’s no longer a problem.
- I have some surprises in store which would not have been possible on the old platform. More about that further down.
The decision to move was already made in the fall of last year; since the beginning of this year the planning and preparations have been in high gear.
Now, finally, I’m ready and proudly present: PhilippElmer.com.
What remains unchanged
Don’t worry, you will continue to receive valuable tips and help in the future. Even more and better.
I will continue to ensure that the articles are clear, well-structured and understandable. I try to deal with problems that are of interest to you.
The most popular and useful articles from the AutomicBlog will be added here as soon as possible. But first I need to edit them to bring them current. Some of the articles are now a few years old and some of them deal with older versions of the Automation Engine.
If you have followed my old blog, you know that I have published inconsistently. Sometimes a lot all at once, and then very seldom. That will now change. With two blog articles per month, I aim to contribute much more useful information to the Automic world.
By the way, for all of you who miss the old blog posts I have a little surprise: You can download all the articles as pdf. Here you can read how to get them.
What will be new
As you can see from the menu above, this site offers more than the blog. In addition to my articles, you will find:
- Information about me
- Information regarding my services, workshops, video training and consulting
- Well-organized information regarding events I offer or participate in
- A Newsletter with the latest information about me, delivered directly to your inbox. In my first email after your registration, you will receive all articles from the AutomicBlog, in a neatly arranged summary for downloading.
With this new site, it is also much easier to make contact with me for inquiries. You’ll find the different possibilities for contact on my Contact Page.
My Brand-New Service: Video Training
Continuing education and workshops are great, but they often can be cumbersome. They take time and a travel budget and are tied to the event dates of the organizer. Perhaps you have had the experience that on the exact date of an exciting workshop you could not make it. Also, many times not all team members can participate, so that the new knowledge then has to be passed on internally.
Therefore, I am offering you now a new, more flexible solution: Video Training which you and your team members can take directly at your workplace. At your own pace, and without inconvenient travel. Some standard workshops will be available here soon. At your request, I can also prepare your individualized training.
What you can look forward to in the blog
To begin with, I will re-publish the most popular and useful articles from the old AutomicBlog on the blog page. Of course, I will first make sure they are up-to-date and will edit them as needed. However, I also want to start assisting you with new articles as soon as possible. Therefore, I have a small request:
Please write me briefly what questions regarding the Automation Engine you need answered and what subjects are of most interest to you. I will then try to write an article as soon as possible. And, of course, any general feedback regarding the new site is welcome.
