Since June, there have been rumors that the equity company EQT Automic could sell. Reuters mentioned this at the time in this article.

Today, almost half a year later, it is official: CA Technologies buys Automic for approximately 600 million euros.

I am just at the Automic Live in Vienna – and even if the official announcement was only now, the topic has dominated the conversations all afternoon.

What do we already know?

As I said, I’m currently at the Automic Live in Vienna. That is why at the moment I only link here the most important information, which is already on the Internet.

I am anxious to see what this change of ownership will entail. Especially because CA is/was a competitor to Automic in all areas where Automic is active.

I see the purchase quite positive. CA is certainly not the worst buyer as the Automic products fit well in their portfolio.
