It’s hot and summery and after two difficult years we can finally travel again this year. On this occasion, of course, I don’t want to miss out on giving you my reading recommendations for the summer. After all, this has already become a bit of a tradition.

And here they come: My reading recommendations for the summer! For all those who are still looking for material to read over the vacations or for mild summer nights.

Enjoy and I hope of course that there is also a fitting reading tip for you!

Homo Deus by Yuval Harari

Yuval Harari has written a three-part series in the period 2015 – 2018, which deals with the past („Sapiens – A Brief History of Humankind“), the future („Homo Deus“), and the present („21 Lessons for the 21st Century“) of mankind.

Each of these three books is worth reading, but Homo Deus was my favorite! Educational, interesting, and at the same time extremely entertaining and engaging!

Infinity Born by Douglas E. Richards

While searching for „new“ sci-fi novels, I came across Douglas E. Richard’s „Infinity Born“ – in German, the book is called „Superintelligenz“. The book is about the creation of an artificial intelligence, and the dangers that come along with it.

The story is entertaining, excitingly written, good to read – but not as fascinating as „The Astronaut“ („Project Hail Mary“) or „Daemon“.

Asterix and the Griffin

Last October, a new Asterix book was published – the first book since Uderzo’s death.

Asterix is comic and cult, fun and philosophy, and last but not least art – in picture and language. A must-read, and enjoy every picture!
